Shepherd University is a public liberal arts school in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, about 90 minutes northwest of Washington D.C. The harp program is a part of the Shepherd University School of Music, which offers undergraduate degrees in performance, education, general music, and composition. The program is housed in the Frank Center which includes classrooms, rehearsal halls, practice rooms, a dedicated studio for harps, Shipley Recital Hall for solo, chamber, and other intimate concerts, and the larger Frank Center Theater for large productions and concerts. Scholarships are available with an audition into the program. To schedule a complimentary private lesson with me to see if our program is a good fit for you, please visit Shepherd's site.

EnsemblesThere are opportunities for ensembles large and small, including wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, orchestra, and a thriving chamber music program.

Studio LessonsAll Shepherd harp students, whether majors or electives, receive their lessons directly from me (unlike large schools who may use graduate assistants).

Our Harp
Thanks to a generous donation from local harpist Anita Sisk, our program has a beautiful Salvi Symphony pedal harp available for student use.
